Teach for America is looking to crowdsource a mixed-use building in Washington DC to host fellow nonprofits and at least 100 housing units for its teachers to rent. They plan to utilize Fundrise, a crowd-investing platform, as well as Popularise, a crowdsourced placemaking platform, to determine what should be developed. Teach for America will be the lead tenant, requiring at least 30,000 s.f. of office space.
